Go for the mass market everytime (VST, RTAS, TDM, etc.). it's because single-vendor "box" = "niche". There are many instances where a particular sound is the "best" plugin, not necessarily the cleanest, nor the most nuanced (both of which ssl is NOT). are you a shill for this company or did the price affect your judgement? expensive is not necessarily better. I really hate to admit it, but these are, by far, the very best plug-ins of this type I have heard.
