

In its standard configuration, Myriad 5 Playout handles the playing of audio (through the Media Players) itself meaning that the main application is responsible for the interface, the playout logic and actually playing the audio as required. The Media Engine Host is a new option to separate the Myriad 5 Playout interface from the audio engine that actually plays out the audio. SmoothEdit is designed to be a quick and simple stereo audio editor ideally suited to the sort of instant editing common in live radio studios. Manage non audio Media Items including Shuffle, List & Rotating Media Items as well as Command Media. Results can be sorted alphabetically (by clicking on the column headers) and dragged directly into Media Players, The Log, Favourites or the Pad. Just type in what you are looking for get the result virtually instantly. The Fast Search tab on the MediaWall provides near instant results when searching for content on your MediaWall. Once you have found the content you are looking for, you can drag Media Items from the Library to everywhere in Myriad 5 Playout that you can use them (players, Log, Favourites etc). You can also do advanced searches on the Library view that return results virtually instantly. You can browse and select Songs, Links and other content by Type and Category using a common 'file browser' style interface familiar to everyone, allowing you to select Type and Category folders and sort the results (alphabetically or numerically) by clicking on the column headers. The Library view offers an alternative way of viewing the content on your MediaWall.
